This draws a signature in your browser and saves it as a PNG with a genuinely transparent background — not a white rectangle that happens to look right on a white page. That distinction is the whole point of the tool. A signature with a white box behind it looks fine in a preview and then covers the line, the letterhead or the table cell underneath it the moment you place it in a real document.
The strokes are stored as points rather than pixels, which has two practical consequences. Undo removes exactly one stroke, however long it was. And the export is re-drawn at the size you pick rather than scaled up from what is on screen — so a 4× print export is genuinely sharp instead of a blurry enlargement. Line width follows pen pressure where your device reports it, so a stylus signature tapers the way a real pen does; a mouse or finger draws at a steady width.
By default the PNG is trimmed to the ink, with a small margin. An untrimmed signature is mostly empty space, and that empty space is still part of the image — it pushes everything around it out of place wherever you paste it. Turn trimming off if you specifically need the full pad size.
Everything happens on your device. The drawing is never uploaded and the PNG is built in the browser, which matters more here than on most tools: a signature is one of the few things you genuinely should not hand to a website. To place the result on a page, the PDF editor will do it.

Is the background really transparent?
Yes. The canvas is never filled with a colour — only the ink is drawn, and everything else stays transparent in the PNG. The chequerboard behind the pad is the page showing through, not part of the image, which is exactly why it is shown that way: what looks empty here comes out empty in the file.
Is a drawn signature legally binding?
In many countries an electronic signature is valid for everyday agreements, but the rules differ by country and by document type — property, wills and some court filings often need more. This tool makes the image; whether that image is sufficient for a particular document is a legal question, and for anything that matters it is worth checking rather than assuming.
Why does my signature look shaky with a mouse?
A mouse is a poor pen — most people cannot sign with one. A touchscreen and a finger is better, a stylus better still. With only a mouse, draw slowly and larger than feels natural and use a thinner line: at 4× export the wobble is far less visible than it looks on screen.
Can I paste it straight into Word or Google Docs?
Use Copy, then paste. That works in Chrome, Edge and Safari, which are the browsers that allow an image on the clipboard. Firefox does not, so there the button tells you and you use Download instead.
Which export size should I pick?
2× suits almost everything on screen and in a normal PDF. Pick 4× if the document will be printed, or if the signature is going in large. 1× is only worth it when file size matters more than sharpness.
