关于视频工具

These video tools are different from most online video editors in one important way: they run entirely inside your browser, using a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg. Your clip is never uploaded to a server, which makes them genuinely private and free to use, with no watermark. Trim or cut a clip, mute it, crop it to a new aspect ratio, rotate or flip it, compress it to a smaller file, convert between MP4 and WebM, change its speed, pull the audio out as an MP3, join clips together, or turn a moment into a GIF — all without your video leaving your device.

Because the processing happens on your own machine rather than a powerful server, these tools are best for short clips. Simple jobs that just copy the video (like trimming or muting) are fast; anything that re-encodes (crop, compress, convert, speed, GIF) is slower and depends on your device, and a long, high-resolution video can take a while or run out of memory. The first time you use any of them, your browser downloads the ffmpeg engine once (about 25 MB) and then caches it, so later runs start quickly. Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No. Unlike most online video tools, these run entirely in your browser using ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your clip never leaves your device, so it is private and safe for personal footage.

Why is there a download the first time?

The first time you use any video tool, your browser downloads the ffmpeg engine once (about 25 MB) and caches it. After that, the tools start quickly.

Why is it slow or why did it run out of memory?

The work happens on your own device, not a server, so long or high-resolution videos are demanding. These tools are best for short clips; trim a long video first, or use a smaller resolution.

Is there a watermark or sign-up?

No. The tools are completely free, need no account, and never add a watermark to your video.
