YouTube Tools

Handy tools for working with YouTube videos — build custom embed code, pull a video's title and thumbnail, and estimate what a video might earn.

About YouTube Tools

This small set of tools covers the everyday jobs of working with YouTube videos outside of YouTube itself. The embed code generator turns any video link into ready-to-paste iframe code, with control over size, fullscreen and a privacy-enhanced no-cookie mode. The title extractor pulls a video's exact title, channel and thumbnail from its link using YouTube's own oEmbed data. And the money calculator gives a rough estimate of ad earnings from a view count.

They are built to be honest about what they can and cannot do. The embed generator and title extractor work with any public video and use official, well-formed data — the embed code is validated, and the title comes straight from YouTube rather than being scraped. The money calculator is explicitly an estimate: YouTube pays on monetised views and a variable RPM, not on raw views, so the figure is a ballpark for comparing scenarios, never a guaranteed income.

Nothing here needs a YouTube account or an API key, and the embed and earnings tools run entirely in your browser. If you are estimating earnings, the underlying advertising metric is explained by the CPM calculator. For embedding on your own site, pair the embed code with the site tools in website tools.

Frequently asked questions

Do these YouTube tools need an account or API key?

No. None of them require a YouTube account or API key. The embed generator and earnings calculator run in your browser, and the title extractor uses YouTube's public oEmbed data.

How accurate is the earnings estimate?

It is a rough ballpark only. Real earnings depend on RPM, the share of monetised views, audience country, watch time and ad formats, so treat it as a comparison tool, not a prediction.

What video links are supported?

Full watch URLs, youtu.be short links, embed and Shorts links, and bare 11-character video IDs all work.

Why can't it read a particular video?

The title extractor uses oEmbed, which only serves public, embeddable videos. Private, unlisted, deleted or age-restricted videos will not return details.
