About the Open Graph Checker
When a link is shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, X or Slack, the preview card — the title, description and image that appear — comes from Open Graph (og:) and Twitter Card (twitter:) meta tags in the page. This tool fetches a URL and lists exactly which of those tags it has and what they contain, so you can see the preview a share will produce before you post it.
Missing or wrong tags are why a shared link sometimes shows no image, the wrong title, or a stale description. The key ones are og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url; for X, twitter:card and twitter:image. Checking them here is quicker than posting a test link and deleting it, and it shows both tag families side by side.
It reads the tags from the returned HTML; note that social platforms cache them, so after a fix you may need to refresh their cache for the new preview to show.
