About the Image Editor
This is a complete photo & image editor that runs entirely in your browser. Open a PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP or GIF and you can crop it (with free or fixed ratios), rotate and flip it, draw freehand or straight lines, add text with full font and colour control, drop in shapes (rectangle, circle, triangle) and ready-made icons and arrows, paint a mask, and apply a whole range of filters — grayscale, sepia, blur, sharpen, emboss, brightness, noise, pixelate, colour tint and more. Undo and redo let you experiment freely, and you export the result as a PNG or JPG.
Because everything happens on your device, the picture is never uploaded to any server — it is read, edited and saved right in the browser. That makes it genuinely private for personal photos, ID scans, screenshots or anything you would rather not hand to a website. It pairs well with the image compressor for a smaller file, the image resizer for exact dimensions, and the image converter to change format.
A couple of honest notes. It works on a single raster image at a time, and for an animated GIF it edits the first frame only. Very large images are limited by your device’s memory, since the editing all happens locally rather than on a powerful server. And exporting to JPG flattens any transparent areas onto white, so choose PNG if you need to keep transparency.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is opened, edited and saved entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which makes it safe for private photos and documents.
What can I do to an image?
Crop, rotate, flip, draw freehand or lines, add text, add shapes and icons/arrows, paint a mask, and apply filters such as grayscale, sepia, blur, sharpen, brightness, noise and pixelate. You can undo and redo any step.
Which formats can I open and save?
You can open PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP or GIF, and export the edited result as a PNG or JPG. Export to PNG if you need to keep transparency.
Can I edit an animated GIF?
You can load one, but editing applies to the first frame only — the result is a still image, not an animation.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up and no watermark on your image.
