About the GIF to JPG
GIF to JPG converts GIF images to JPG. GIF is an old format capped at 256 colours, used mainly for tiny graphics and simple animations. JPG is the universal photo format — small files that open on every device, though it is lossy and sheds a little detail each time it is saved.
Converting GIF to JPG gives you a small, universal photo that opens anywhere and uploads to any site without fuss. This compresses the image to a smaller file; at good quality settings the loss is very hard to see. Note: JPG has no transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with white. Your image is converted with Imagick on our server, then deleted straight after — stored under a random name in a non-public folder and removed when your download is served. Convert one image or up to 30 in a batch (returned as a ZIP).
Frequently asked questions
Will converting GIF to JPG reduce quality?
This compresses the image to a smaller file; at good quality settings the loss is very hard to see.
Does it keep transparency?
No — JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas become solid white. Convert to PNG or WebP if you need to keep transparency.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes — add up to 30 and they come back together as a ZIP. Each is processed on our server and deleted right after.
Are my images kept?
No. They are stored under random names in a non-public folder and deleted the moment your download is served.
