About the Rotate Video
Rotate Video turns a clip 90° left or right, flips it 180°, or mirrors it horizontally or vertically. It is the fix for a video that came out sideways or upside down, or one you want to mirror. All processing happens in your browser with ffmpeg (WebAssembly), so your video is never uploaded — it is private and free with no watermark. It works best on short clips, since the work runs on your device rather than a server.
Rotating re-encodes the video, so it takes a little longer than a copy-only operation and depends on your device. The output is a standard MP4 that plays the right way up everywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Is my video uploaded?
No. Rotating and flipping run entirely in your browser.
Will it fix a sideways phone video?
Yes. Choose rotate 90° left or right to turn it upright, and download the corrected clip.
What is the difference between rotate and flip?
Rotate turns the whole frame by an angle; flip mirrors it, so left and right (or top and bottom) are swapped.
Does it lose quality?
It re-encodes at high quality, so any change is minimal and not usually noticeable.
