About the Typing Speed Test
The typing speed test shows you a short sentence to copy. The timer starts on your very first keystroke, and as you type it colours each character green when it matches the target and red when it does not, so you can see mistakes the instant you make them. When you reach the end it reports your speed in words per minute (WPM) and your accuracy as a percentage.
WPM here uses the standard convention of five characters per word — the same definition most typing tests use — so your score is directly comparable with results elsewhere, and accuracy is measured character by character against the sentence you were given. It is a handy way to gauge how fast you type, warm up before real work, or track whether practice is paying off.
