    About the AVIF to JPG

AVIF to JPG converts AVIF images to JPG. AVIF is the newest mainstream image format — even smaller than WebP at excellent quality, with transparency, built for fast websites. JPG is the universal photo format — small files that open on every device, though it is lossy and sheds a little detail each time it is saved.

Useful when an AVIF image (from a modern website) will not open in your editor or on an older device — JPG opens everywhere. This compresses the image to a smaller file; at good quality settings the loss is very hard to see. Note: JPG has no transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with white. Your image is converted with Imagick on our server, then deleted straight after — stored under a random name in a non-public folder and removed when your download is served. Convert one image or up to 30 in a batch (returned as a ZIP).

    Frequently asked questions

Will converting AVIF to JPG reduce quality?

This compresses the image to a smaller file; at good quality settings the loss is very hard to see.

    Does it keep transparency?

No — JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas become solid white. Convert to PNG or WebP if you need to keep transparency.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes — add up to 30 and they come back together as a ZIP. Each is processed on our server and deleted right after.

    Are my images kept?

No. They are stored under random names in a non-public folder and deleted the moment your download is served.
