About the Image to WebP
This tool decodes your JPG or PNG with Imagick and re-encodes it as WebP at quality 82 — a setting close to the sweet spot where files get meaningfully smaller while the difference stays invisible at normal viewing size. WebP typically undercuts a comparable JPG and can crush a photographic PNG, which is why it has become the default for image-heavy sites chasing Core Web Vitals scores.
Use it when you are preparing images for a website and page weight matters. If something downstream refuses WebP, WebP to JPG converts back, and compress image is the better tool if you want to stay in your current format and simply shrink it.
The honest limitation is that this always encodes lossy WebP at quality 82, with no option to change it. That is fine for photographs and bad news for PNGs you were keeping lossless on purpose: a screenshot or diagram converted here does not stay pixel-perfect, and lossless WebP is not offered. Transparency in a PNG is preserved, since WebP supports an alpha channel. Metadata is stripped. Up to 30 images per batch, a batch returning a ZIP. Files are uploaded, processed under random names in a folder blocked from web access, and deleted when the request ends. 20 MB each, 25 MB total.
