About the PNG to BMP
PNG to BMP converts PNG images to BMP. PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which makes it ideal for logos, screenshots and graphics — at the cost of larger files. BMP is an old, uncompressed Windows bitmap — perfect fidelity but very large files, rarely needed now.
Converting PNG to BMP gives you a plain, uncompressed bitmap that some older Windows software still expects. The pixels are re-encoded faithfully into BMP. Note: BMP has no transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with white. Your image is converted with Imagick on our server, then deleted straight after — stored under a random name in a non-public folder and removed when your download is served. Convert one image or up to 30 in a batch (returned as a ZIP).
