About the Compress PNG
Compress PNG reduces the file size of a PNG image. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so it compresses less dramatically than JPG — but screenshots, logos and flat graphics still shrink a lot by trimming the colour palette.
Use the quality slider to trade size against fidelity: around 70 is a good balance for most images, lower for the smallest files, higher when detail matters. It keeps the same PNG format. Your image is compressed on our server and deleted straight after — stored under a random name in a non-public folder and removed when your download is served. Compress one image or up to 30 in a batch (returned as a ZIP).
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my PNG get?
It depends on the image and the quality you choose. Detailed photos shrink the most; images that are already small may change little.
Will compressing reduce quality?
PNG compression trades some quality for size. Around 70 is usually indistinguishable; push lower only if you need the smallest file.
Does it stay a PNG?
Yes — the output is the same PNG format, just smaller.
Can I compress several images at once?
Yes — add up to 30 and they come back as a ZIP. Each is processed on our server and deleted right after.
