About the Image Merge
This tool merges several photos into one picture. Choose how many you want to combine — anywhere from two to eight — pick one of the layouts offered for that number, and drop your photos into the cells. Every layout is a real grid, so the result is aligned exactly rather than roughly assembled by hand.
Photos can be moved after they are placed: drag one onto another and they swap, which is far quicker than deleting and re-adding when the order is not quite right. Each photo can either fill its cell (cropped to fit, the usual choice) or sit inside it whole, and either can be changed per photo rather than for the whole collage. The gap between photos, the border around the outside, the corner rounding and the background colour are all adjustable, so the same set of pictures can end up as a tight grid with no seams or as a set of rounded cards on a coloured background.
Pick the shape to suit where it is going — square for a feed post, 4:5 for a portrait post, 9:16 for a story, 16:9 for a slide or a thumbnail — then download at up to 3000 px as JPG, PNG or WebP. Everything happens inside your browser: the photos are read from your device and drawn onto a canvas, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. Frequently asked questions
How many photos can I combine?
Between two and eight. Each number offers its own layouts — a row, a column, balanced grids, and for three or more a large feature photo with the rest beside or beneath it.
Can I move a photo after placing it?
Yes. Drag one photo onto another and the two swap places. It works with a mouse and with a finger on a phone or tablet.
Why is part of my photo cut off?
By default each photo fills its cell, which means cropping whatever does not fit the cell shape. Use the small ⇄ button on the photo to switch it to fitting whole instead, which shows all of it and leaves background visible around the edges.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. They are read from your device and drawn onto a canvas in the page. Nothing leaves the browser, and closing the tab discards everything.
Which format should I download?
JPG for photos, and it is what most places expect. PNG if you need the sharpest edges or a background you set to match a page exactly. WebP for the smallest file at the same quality, which every current browser supports.
