A location QR code encodes a geo: URI — the standard scheme for a geographic point, written as geo:latitude,longitude. Rather than an address, which can be ambiguous or simply not exist, it pins an exact coordinate: a trade entrance round the back, a campsite pitch, a wedding venue down an unnamed lane, a meeting point in a large park, a plot with no postal address. Scanning it hands the coordinate to the phone’s maps app so the person can navigate straight there.
