About the Text to Speech
This text to speech tool turns written text into spoken audio using the voices already built into your browser and operating system. Paste in an article, an email draft, a paragraph you are proofreading or a passage you want to learn, choose a voice, and it reads the words aloud. You can slow the speed down for careful listening or speed it up to skim, and nudge the pitch to make the voice warmer or brighter.
Because it uses the Web Speech API, everything happens on your own device — your text is never sent to a server, and there is no sign-up, no quota and no watermark. The list of voices depends on what your system has installed; most computers and phones ship with several, and you can add more in your OS settings. Reading text aloud is a genuinely useful habit for catching clumsy sentences and typos your eyes skip over.

No. The speech is generated by your own browser and device, so the text never leaves your computer.
Why do I only see a few voices?
The available voices come from your operating system. You can install more languages and voices in your system settings, and they will appear in the list.
Can I download the audio as an MP3?
The browser speech engine plays audio live but does not expose a downloadable file. For a saved MP3 you would need a dedicated recording tool.
