About the Watermark PDF
Watermark PDF stamps your text diagonally across the centre of every page at 45°, in 48 pt bold Helvetica, in a light grey that reads clearly without burying the content underneath. The text is drawn onto the page and the file rebuilt, so the watermark is part of the page rather than a layer a reader can switch off.
Common uses are marking a document DRAFT so nobody circulates it as final, stamping CONFIDENTIAL on something sensitive, or putting your name on a sample. If your aim is to stop people opening the file rather than label it, protect PDF is the tool. To add a signature image instead of text, use sign PDF.
The limits are worth knowing. One line of text, truncated at 60 characters, and it goes on every page — you cannot pick pages or change the colour, size, angle or opacity, and there is no image watermark. Because it uses a built-in Helvetica font, only standard Latin characters render correctly; Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic and Greek text will not come out right. And a watermark is a deterrent, not security — anyone determined can crop it out. Pages are re-imported, so form fields, annotations and bookmarks are dropped, and encrypted PDFs cannot be read. Files are processed under random names in a non-public folder and deleted when the request ends. 20 MB maximum.

Can I watermark only some pages?
No. The text is stamped across every page. To watermark part of a document, split the file, watermark that piece, and merge everything back together.
Can I use my logo instead of text?
No — text only, one line, up to 60 characters. There is no image watermark option in this tool.
Will non-English text work?
Only standard Latin characters render properly. The built-in Helvetica font has no coverage for Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic or Greek, so that text will not appear correctly.
Can someone remove the watermark?
It is merged into the page content rather than sitting on a toggleable layer, so it will not switch off in a normal viewer. But it is a deterrent, not protection — a determined person can crop or edit it away.
Can I change the colour, size or angle?
No. It is fixed at 45°, 48 pt bold, in light grey. The only thing you control is the text itself.
